347 Sorauren is another conversion condominium located in a pleasant residential area of North Parkdale. Formerly it was a ball bearing factory but has since been renovated and now has two new additions. The first of it's two levels features enormous timber columns and beams, and 15 ft. ceilings. Some of the lofts on the first floor also have private patios facing a new park. The second level is structured with a steel frame and offers 12 ft. ceilings with a steep incline and exposed joists.
The teamwork of the architect Jeff Kendall and the developer Mel Brown combined to enhance the gothic style of this 50 loft building which appears massive since the majority of the area is set on the first floor. Suite sizes vary from 500 sq. ft. to 1500 sq. ft. The remarkable transformation of Sorauren from this industrial building was completed in 1999-2000.
