Cresford Developments, using the design of Young & Wright Architects, finished the Boot in 2003. Named for the roller skating rink that was previously on the site, the Boot is located off Shuter Street just east of Church Street. It's very close to Ryerson University and Eaton Centre, as well as all the fun bars and clubs in The Gay Village. Building amenities include a party room, exercise area, billiard room, and a rooftop terrace.
The 12 storeys and 153 suites are known more for their location, not as much for their style. Units range in size from the one bedroom units with 440 sq. ft. to the two bedrooms plus a den at 910 sq. ft., although penthouses are larger and include terraces.
